Dear Friends of the LGBTQ Community,
LPSS, Inc is an all volunteer, not for profit organization, which has
been serving the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, & Questioning
Community since 1985. Lambda Peer Support Services provides
workshops, on going and short term discussion groups, “Holiday
Connections” activities and other programs for the LGBTQ Community of
the lower Hudson Valley and surrounding areas. All groups are conducted
by trained peer facilitators under the ongoing supervision of certified
clinicians. Lambda Peer Support Services strive to foster a sense of
community and reduce the pain caused by homophobia, discrimination and
prejudice.
To better serve the needs of the LGBTQ Community, LPSS, Inc. is leasing
a space at 7 Holland Avenue, White Plains, New York 10603. Having our
own space is wonderful, as it enables Lambda to expand its services and
to offer a more flexible and ongoing supportive program for the
community. The LPSS 2009 Networking Journal is a very significant
part of our Fundraising Program to raise needed funds for rent and
other expenses associated with managing our own space and serving the
Community.
Please help Lambda Peer Support Services continue to provide needed
programs for the
LGBTQ Community by
showcasing your business, service, organization or personal message
to friends, family or community in our 2009 LPSS Networking Journal.
The Journal will be professionally laid out and published to maximize
your message. In addition to it being distributed at 7 Holland Avenue
it will be available at all LPSS activities, including discussion
groups, workshops, “Holiday Connections Get-togethers”, fundraising
events and outreach functions in the lower Hudson Valley and surrounding
areas, throughout the year.
